Initially used as a favourite medium of journey by the rulers of handsome states of Rajput Kings, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the British India’s Viceroy’s. This train will give all feelings of kings and Maharaja’s living standard. However, the train was disconnected after the independence of India in 1947. Later in 1981-82, because of efforts of the RTDC (Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation) the railways department decided to start an extraordinary heritage train for tourists.
